The Fleetman application for clear fleet management is continuously evolving, and we are adding new features to ensure it is as user-friendly as possible. Here is a summary of the autumn updates.

What’s New in Fleetman?

Several significant updates are now available, including online documentation, a more intuitive calendar, and an extension of the vehicle rental feature to include external rentals. Additionally, since the release of version R5 in January this year, Fleetman has received several other minor but useful updates.

Let’s go over the most interesting features.

Online Documentation

For some, it may be a small thing, but for a fleet manager, it is essential help. Online documentation is now available to every user. You can access it directly from the Fleetman application. This ensures you always have the latest version with full-text search functionality. All necessary information is readily available. No more long searches or navigating through various queries.

Vehicle Calendar

As a fleet manager, you need a comprehensive overview of every vehicle in your corporate fleet and to monitor every detail within the calendar. Is a particular vehicle in use? When will it be in for a regular service check? Is it, or will it be, rented out? When was a specific insurance event handled?

With the Fleetman application, you have such a comprehensive overview at your disposal. The new functionality now allows you to switch from the classic view to a calendar view. In the Calendar of Services and Vehicles, you see a detailed overview of operations, planned services, and rentals. All important dates are under your control.

This enables you to:

  • plan with greater clarity
  • reduce downtime
  • enhance vehicle availability

 

Vehicle Rental

If you are responsible for pool, shared, or rented cars, you know how time-consuming and chaotic the administration can be. Manual records, insufficient overviews, and even Excel can sometimes diverge from reality. Here too, Fleetman can assist you.

We have refined the existing “Vehicle in Use” area and expanded it with the “Vehicle Rental” function to make the work of fleet managers or Back Office staff as simple and clear as possible.

In Fleetman, you can quickly and easily find the current status of a rented vehicle, whether it was, is, or will be rented, for how long, and to whom. Newly, you can create so-called “External Vehicle in Use” and link it with a Business Relationship in CRM. As a bonus, precise and up-to-date data from the rental operations help optimise costs or generate profit from the vehicle rental.

 

Fleetman Has Many Other Enhancements

In addition to the mentioned improvements, we have also updated the Fleetman system in several other areas. The most interesting enhancements include:

  • Overview of odometer history with updated display.
  • Optimisation of service phase transitions for more effective planning and maintenance management.
  • Extension of the “Description” field up to 5000 characters for your notes.
  • A new Insurance Events Dashboard for all information in one place.
  • New notifications about the impending expiration of the Vehicle Contract.

 

Fleetman is also heading to other countries. Localisation into German is already underway, with Denmark following soon.
